To Those Concerned about Gas Drilling in Arkansas:
Our state agencies and legislators have been hearing from gas industry employees and industry lobbyists for months. Several hundred gas employees were paid to flood the legislature when it was in session considering reforms for drilling in Arkansas. Representatives have been told to oppose any better regulation or higher taxes for the industry. Now it is our turn. On Wednesday, June 29th, there will be an email and phone call blitz. People from all over the state will use the list of contacts below to call or send emails to our state agencies and legislators. Courteously tell them about the your concerns. Tell them if you want gas drilling permanently banned, temporarily stopped, or regulated better. If better regulated, tell them what needs to be fixed or ask their support for the gas reform bills that will be reviewed in interim committees. If you send an email, keep it short so it might get read. Please request that the recipient forwards the email to other members of the agency's admistration. Please forward this email to as many people as you know. Make sure you tell them where you live.

personally negatively affected by the natural gas industry in Arkansas and/or
have family and friends who have been negatively affected. I know of many
problems on many different levels of production. I believe the entire process
of hydraulic fracturing should be stopped until proper research can be done
and proper regulation can be formed. This industry affects Arkansans's
water, air, land, and other things in a negative way. Many people are having
